Brighton Soccer Club fielded an open age Women's team for the first time ever in season 2004, and added an Over-35 "Masters" Men's team in 2005.

2006 saw further expansion, with 6 x Open Age teams competing in FFV competition, including the re-establishing of a Men's team after a break of 10 seasons.

In 2007, our Men entered the Provisional League, with Firsts and Reserves teams, while our Women were accepted into State League Division 1, also with Firsts and Reserves.  With an extra Women's team competing in the FFV's Metro league, and a Men's Masters team, we again had 6 x Open Age teams competing in FFV competition.
