Re: Notice of Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given to members of Brighton Soccer Club, Inc (BSC) of the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM). In compliance with clause 4.3 of the BSC Constitution, the 2026 AGM will be hosted online via Zoom.  Please use the links below to register your online attendance.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. 

House Rules & Tips:

Below are some house rules and tips to try and ensure a smooth running of the meeting:

• Please ensure your Zoom name is the first and last name of the person or persons attending the meeting to assist in identification of the member.
• Upon entry to the meeting your microphone will be muted.
• Between 7:20pm-7:30pm, confirmation of attendees will take place.  After all attendees have been confirmed, the meeting will revert to the Chair, Elliot Epstein, who will commence the meeting.
• If you have a question for the Board, please send a message via the “Chat” feature, indicating you wish to ask a question, and your microphone will be “unmuted” at the appropriate time to allow you to ask the question.
• The “Chat” feature should become visible at the bottom of your screen or mobile device.
• Please also understand that when using the “Chat” feature, you can either send a message to “Everyone” on the call or Direct Message an individual. Any questions received from the floor will be referred to the Chair at the appropriate time, and the member will be unmuted for them to ask their question.
• Raise Hand – this feature can be accessed via the …more click and scroll through the menu and select raise hand, click again to lower. At the appropriate time, the members microphone will be unmuted for them to ask their question.

Notice of intention to propose special resolutions. 

The proposals are as follows:

1. Extend the director tenure of Elliot Epstein (President) for another term (two years) as per 9.4 Maximum Term of Office in the Club Constitution
2. Change the Club name to Brighton FC (Brighton Football Club) from Brighton Soccer Club
3. Following the above proposed change, update Club Constitution to reflect change and update references to Football Victoria and Football Australia

Nominations:

Nominations are called for candidates to join the Brighton Soccer Club Board for 2027.

If you know anyone at the club who would like to be part of the ongoing development of Victoria’s largest soccer club, please encourage and support their nomination. We are particularly interested in seeking expressions of interest from those who may be able to provide legal support, drive networking and sponsorship or interest in the Club’s Social Committee, as representatives on the Board. We are committed to achieving a 40:40:20 diversity of gender on our Board. (40% men, 40% women, 20% of any gender) and seek nominations to support this.

Nominations for election to the Board need to be delivered to the undersigned via email by 5pm on 12 October 2026. Nomination forms should be signed by two financial Ordinary Members or Life Members of the Club.

Nominations must also be accompanied by the Consent of Nominee form signed by the candidate.
